The agency goes green with property management and car…

An agency in the north of England is going green by replacing its existing fleet of electric vehicles.

The purchase of two Volkswagen ID-3s is part of the Walton Robinson agency’s carbon-neutral plan to increase energy consumption.

Operations manager Mark Smith, who also owns an electric vehicle, says: “The cars are perfect for urban driving when we’re transporting customers to and from viewings because we can literally charge them up and go.

“The philosophy behind the vehicles is purely to reduce our carbon footprint and be as green as possible as a business.”

Walton Robinson says he is committed to reducing his carbon footprint, through the use of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures.

The company has installed smart thermostats in nearly 100 of its managed properties to help tenants manage their energy use and save money.

Over the next several years, the company will work with tenants and landlords to ensure properties in their portfolio have an EPC rating of D or higher.

Walton Robinson specializes in residential rentals for students, professionals and families in and around the Newcastle area, offering rental-only, full property management and facility management services.
