VB man receives National Property Management Award from Civil Air Patrol

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach man was recognized by the Civil Air Patrol with the 2021 Property Manager of the Year award at the CAP National Conference this month.

Maj Warnock was named the recipient of the award for his contribution to CAP’s property management program. He served as the Virginia Wing Property Manager and Logistics Officer from August 2017 to April 2021.

“In his role as Wing Logistics Officer, Maj Warnock has far exceeded the demands and expectations of the Wing and the country,” said Colonel Liz Sydow, Virginia Wing Commander. “This award is well deserved and brings great credit to himself, his community, his state and his nation.”

He was responsible for audits and inspections at the wing level. In addition, he played a major role in the preparation and execution of the annual revalidations at wing and group level and the week-long youth leadership training for four years.

Warnock now commands Coastal Composite Squadron in Virginia Beach.
